Fans of the Stargate™ Trading Card Game and the Stargate™ Online Trading Card Game will have a chance to find a champion this August at Gen Con Indy! Sony Online Entertainment is set to host the 2008 Championships for both versions by combining the tabletop TCG with the online game. Stargate TCG players who bring their tabletop decks to Gen Con will be given a digital version of their deck with which to compete.

The Stargate Online Trading Card Game Championship event is scheduled to be held on Friday, Aug. 15, 2008 from 6 p.m. - 10 p.m. (EDT).

The prize schedule for the Stargate Online Trading Card Game Championship is:

1st Place - $500 + 1 complete online set of Stargate Online TCG
2nd Place - $250
3rd - 4th Place - $75
5th - 8th Place - Ten (10) Stargate TCG Rise of the Ori booster packs

Stargate TCG: Rise of the Ori is currently available both in tabletop and online versions and offers new strategies that you'll need to compete!
